SUMMARY: Toggle the Details Pane appearing at the bottom of Explorer windows or change its size.
Depending on your configuration, Windows Vista may display a Details Pane at the bottom of opened folders in Explorer. This pane provides details on the currently-selected file(s) and/or folder(s), such as:
* Total size of selected files, and if the files are media files, their total playtime length
* For supported image files, a picture preview as well as image dimensions
* For applications and some other file types, the date the file was created as well as modified
To toggle displaying the Details Pane:
Click on the "Organize" button in an Explorer folder, choose "Layout", then select or unselect "Details Pane".

Alternatively, if the Details Pane is visible, you can right-click an empty area of it (click between the icon and the details for best results) and select "Hide Details Pane".
To increase/decrease the size of the Details Pane:
Right-click an empty area of the Details Pane (click between the icon and the details for best results) and select "Size". You can choose from "Small", "Medium", or "Large", depending on your needs.
