Show/Hide the Menu Bar

SUMMARY: Toggle displaying Windows Media Player 10's menu bar for more screen real-estate.

Windows Media Player 10's menu bar can be turned off to save screen real-estate that can be used to show more multimedia files in your Library. Or, if you are a new Windows Media Player 10 user, you may want the menu bar turned on to make accessing various options easier. To toggle Windows Media Player 10's menu bar on and off, do the following:

Turn the menu bar on:

1. Right-click on the top of the window.
2. Select "Switch to Full Mode" if you are in skin mode, then right-click on the top of the window again.
3. Select "Show Menu Bar".

Turn the menu bar off (from Full Mode).

1. Select "View", "Menu Bar Options", "Hide Menu Bar".

To auto-hide the menu bar whenever your mouse pointer is away from the menu bar area:

1. Perform the steps to "Turn the menu bar on" as mentioned above.
2. Select "View", "Menu Bar Options", "Autohide Menu Bar".
