Windows Media Player 11 - Cannot Play DRM (Digital Rights Management) Protected Content

Some people have had problems playing DRM (Digital Rights Management) protected content when upgrading to Windows Media Player 11, or when upgrading to Windows Vista. Others may have difficulty transferring and playing DRM content on a portable music/multimedia player.

* You cannot transcode DRM-protected media in Windows Media Player 11

* When you try use Windows Media Player 11 to play a digital rights management (DRM)-protected media file, the media may not play

* Windows Media Player 11 cannot play DRM-protected content on Windows Vista

* Windows Media Player 11 cannot acquire licenses for DRM content when the Media Player is deployed by using an incorrect version of the OPK for Windows Media Player

* BUG: You may be redirected to a Web page when you try to play Windows Media DRM protected content after you upgrade to Windows Media Player 11 or to Windows Vista

* On a computer that is running Windows Vista or Windows XP, you play a Windows Media DRM-protected video file one time. When you do this, the play count indicates that you played the video file two times
