| Access the Fonts Control Panel SUMMARY: Browse the list of fonts installed on your Windows Vista machine.
If you run word processing applications such as Microsoft Word 2007, graphics design tools, or presentation software, chances are you have used a variety of fonts.
To help manage your font collection, the Windows Vista Fonts Control Panel lets you:
* Preview fonts
* Install new fonts
* Uninstall unused fonts
To access this Control Panel, either:
1. Click the Start button.
2. Type "fonts" (without the quotes).
3. The "Fonts" folder should be highlighted. Press ENTER.
OR:
1. Click the Start button.
2. Select "Control Panel".
3. The Control Panel window should appear.
* If you are using the standard view, select "Appearance and Personalization", then "Fonts".
* If you are using the classic view, double-click "Fonts".
You'll see a list of all the standard and TrueType/OpenType fonts installed on your system. If you are using other fonts managed by outside utilities, they may not be displayed here, so refer to installed utility font managers to preview and manage such fonts.
