Windows Vista - Mouse - Find the Pointer Easily with a Keypress

SUMMARY: Having difficulty locating the mouse pointer on a Windows Vista system? This tweak may help.

Sometimes the mouse pointer on a Windows Vista system may be hard to find. While you can toggle mouse pointer trails, some people find that confusing.

One other option is to toggle a feature whereby pressing the Ctrl key briefly displays an animated circle around the mouse pointer's position. Even if the mouse pointer is hidden on the sides of the screen, this keypress should make it easier to spot.

To enable this tweak:

1. Open the Windows Vista "Mouse Properties" dialog box.

2. Click the "Pointer Options" tab.

3. Underneath "Visibility", check "Show location of pointer when I press the CTRL key".

4. Click "OK" to close the "Mouse Properties" dialog box.
