SUMMARY: Move Windows Vista's Sidebar to another monitor if it is more convenient.
If you are running Windows Vista on a multiple-monitor setup, it may prove convenient to move the Windows Sidebar to your second (or third, or fourth!) monitor. This will keep the Sidebar gadgets easily accessible, freeing up room on the main monitor for applications or documents.
1. Right-click the Windows Sidebar icon on the taskbar (it looks like the image to the left). If you do not see this icon, click the "Show Hidden Icons" arrow (it looks like the image to the right), then right-click the Windows Sidebar icon.
2. Select "Properties".
3. The "Windows Sidebar Properties" dialog box will appear. Next to "Display Sidebar on monitor" click the pull-down to change the "1" to another monitor.
4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box when you're done.
Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Windows Vista - Windows Sidebar - Move the Sidebar to a Different Monitor
