Unfortunately, installing the Windows XP Service Pack 2 may cause some older software to malfunction, especially older firewalls and some games. Before installing Windows XP Service Pack 2, you may want to compare your installed software with a list of known problems in the Microsoft Knowledge Base article 884130:
