WinFontsView: Portable Freeware Font Viewer for Windows

SUMMARY: WinFontsView is a freeware portable Windows application that views sample text of fonts installed on your system.

If you need to view samples of fonts on your system and do not need a full-blown manager with font installation and uninstallation capabilities, WinFontsView for Windows 2000 and up may fit the bill. The freeware application displays all fonts on your system in the forms of five samples of various sizes. By pressing F8 you can access an options menu to alter the sample text as needed. From there you can also adjust the character set (change it to "Symbol" to view fonts such as "Webdings" and "Wingdings").

A selection of fonts, or all of them, can be exported to an HTML file (Ctrl+S) for viewing font samples inside a web browser. Note that the HTML file only saves links to the font files; viewing the file on another system may not display as expected.

WinFontsView is portable, distributed as a .ZIP file and requires no installation - just unzip the file to a new directory and run winfontsview.exe.
