Microsoft Word 2003 Miscellaneous - Obtain the Current Document's File Size

Curious how much room the current Microsoft Word 2003 takes up on your hard drive? Don't jump back to Explorer - you can view this information inside Word.

1. Save the current document. Use "File" - "Save", or "File" - "Save As" if you haven't already given the document a name or want to save a backup copy.
2. Once the file has saved, choose "File" - "Properties".
3. When the "Properties" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, select "General".

Next to "Size" you can view the current document's file size on disk.

Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Microsoft Word 2003 Miscellaneous - Obtain the Current Document's File Size.
