When printing documents written/designed with Microsoft Word 2003, normally all drawing objects (vector graphics such as text art, lines, or circles) are included on the hard copy. However, depending on the amount and complexity of these types of graphics included in your documents, the print time may slow. Thus, if you're working on a tight deadline and need to continuously create proof copies of complex documents, you may wish to temporarily disable printout of these objects.
1. Click "Tools" - "Options".
2. When the "Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "Print" tab.
3. Underneath "Include with document", uncheck "Drawing objects".
4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then,
return to Microsoft Word 2003 Printing and Print Preview - Speed Printouts by Removing Drawings.
