Keep a Page Break Before a Paragraph
Summary: Force the following paragraph in a Microsoft Word 2003 document to appear on the next page.
For aesthetic or organizational purposes, you may require that certain paragraphs in your Microsoft Word 2003 documents appear on the top of a page. While you easily can insert a page break before such paragraphs by pressing CTRL-ENTER, what if you need to move the paragraphs around your documents? Unless you are very careful with your selecting and cutting/pasting/moving, the page breaks may not move with your paragraphs as expected.
There is another way to designate certain paragraphs as those requiring a page break beforehand.
1. Move your cursor inside a paragraph.
2. Right-click the paragraph and select "Paragraph".
3. The "Paragraph" multi-tabbed dialog box will appear. Select the "Line and Page Breaks" tab.
4. Check "Page break before".

5. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
Now, if you move the paragraph, the page break should move along with it.
