WinZip 10.x - Display a Grid
SUMMARY: Easily distinguish files inside a ZIP archive with WinZip by displaying gridlines.
In WinZip's Classic mode, if you frequently open ZIP files containing a lot of files within, it may be hard on the eyes to scan the list of filenames and see which size, file date, path, etc. goes with each file. Perhaps displaying a grid with light gray lines may help separate the different files and their associated information.
NOTE: this feature is not available for Windows XP users. According to the WinZip documentation, this is "due to a problem in Windows XP.
1. From WinZip's Classic interface, click "Options" then "Configuration".
2. When the Configuration multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "View" tab.
3. Underneath "General", check "Grid lines".
4. Press "OK" to close the dialog box.
Return to the WinZip page.
