WinZip offers many context-menu enhancements to ZIP files in Explorer. Right-click on a ZIP file and you can immediately extract files, add files to the archive, e-mail ZIP files, encrypt ZIP files, and more.

You may not require some of these enhancements and wish to disable them to clean up the context menu. Thus, to disable certain enhancements or all of them:

1. Access the Classic WinZip interface.

2. Click the "Options" menu, choosing "Configuration."

3. When the "Configuration" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "Explorer Enhancements" tab.


4. To disable all enhancements, uncheck "Enable Explorer enhancements (including additional Drag and Drop features)". Otherwise, check or uncheck the individual enhancements you wish to use underneath "Context menu commands" as desired.

5. Press "OK" when done.
