WinZip - WinZip 10.x - Toggle WinZip's Context Menu Additions as a Submenu

SUMMARY: Toggle how you want WinZip's right mouse button Explorer enhancements displayed.

Depending on your system configuration, on a system where WinZip 10.x is installed, when you right-click a file in Explorer, WinZip-related functionality may be available in the popup context menu next to a "WinZip" heading. For example:

* For non-archive files you may have the options to add files to a new archive or to a recently-used archive

* For archive files you may have the options to extract the files, e-mail the archive, or encrypt the archive.

If you frequently use WinZip, when navigating the right mouse button context menu, you may not wish to have to select "WinZip" and then the desired action. What if all of the commands were immediately available just by right-clicking the file?

Others who use WinZip less frequently may like the options being placed in a submenu, keeping the standard right mouse button context menu cleaner.

To toggle this functionality:

1. From WinZip, click "Options" - "Configuration".

2. When the "Configuration" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "Explorer Enhancements" tab.

3. Underneath "General", check or uncheck "Display context menu items in a submenu" as desired. Checking this box creates the "WinZip" submenu; unchecking the box places all of the WinZip functionality immediately available after right-clicking a file.

4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
