WinZip 10.x - Force WinZip to Ask You to Open a File on Startup

SUMMARY: This WinZip tweak forces the application to automatically prompt you for a ZIP file when the software starts.

If you normally use WinZip to extract ZIP files and not create them, you might want WinZip to automatically show an Open Archive dialog box whenever you open the application manually.

1. Click "Options" - "Configuration".

2. When the "Configuration" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "Miscellaneous" tab.

3. Underneath "Start-up", check "Automatically show the Open Archive dialog box".

4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.

Return to the WinZip page.
