WinZip 10.x - Beep When a Long Extraction or Other Action is Over

SUMMARY: Have WinZip play an audible alert whenever it finishes processing a large file or group of files.

Uncompressing a LOT of files in a ZIP archive with WinZip? Or, perhaps you're creating a large archive with hundreds of individual files. Such operations can take time, and you might wish to leave your computer while it is performing the desired task. With this tweak, you can have WinZip beep whenever it has completed a task that took a while to perform, alerting you to the fact in case you are not sitting next to your machine.

1. Click "Options" - "Configuration".

2. When the "Configuration" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "Miscellaneous" tab.

3. Check "Beep after long archive operations".

4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
