Transferring Numbers Between Views

SUMMARY: Transfer numbers between Calculator's Standard and Scientific Views.

When switching between the Windows XP Calculator's Standard and Scientific views, you may have noticed that any number in the calculator's display window is erased. If you need to keep this value recorded, there are two ways to do so:

A) Using the calculator's memory

If you are not using the calculator's memory to store another value, use this method.

1) Press the MS (Memory Store) button or press Ctrl+M

2) Switch between Scientific or Standard view

3) Press the MR (Memory Recall) button or press Ctrl+R

B) Using the Windows Clipboard

If you are using the calculator's memory to store another value and/or do not need the current contents of the Windows Clipboard, use this method.

1. Select "Edit" - "Copy" or press Ctrl+C

2) Switch between Scientific or Standard view

3. Select "Edit" - "Paste" or press Ctrl+V
