Windows XP and Calculator

Paste Equations into the Calculator

SUMMARY: Insert math equations straight into the Windows XP calculator without retyping.

If you need to enter a math equation into a document and display the result, don't type in the equation twice. Simply type the equation into a document, select the text, and copy the text into the clipboard (press CONTROL-INSERT). Then, open the Windows XP Calculator tool and press SHIFT-INS. The calculator will then display the result!

Note that when you paste equations in the calculator they should contain no spaces, and they should end with an equals sign (to display the results).

For example, you can paste this equation into your calculator to get the result, 100:

15+33+12+29+11=
