Windows XP Taskbar - Toolbar - Start Menu - Show Your Favorite Websites on the Start Menu

SUMMARY: Quickly access Internet Explorer Favorites directly from your Windows XP Start Menu.

Would you like quicker access to your favorite websites? You can perform a tweak to have the Windows XP Start Menu show a "Favorites" menu, providing you with one-click access to your favorite websites. All of this without having to start your web browser.

1. Right-click on an empty area of the taskbar, choosing "Properties".

2. When the "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, select the "Start Menu" tab.

3. Click the "Customize" button.

4. The "Customize Start Menu" multi-tabbed dialog box should appear. Select the "Advanced" tab.

5. Underneath "Start menu items", check "Favorites menu".

6. Click "OK" on the dialog boxes to close them.


 


Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Windows XP Taskbar - Toolbar - Start Menu - Show Your Favorite Websites on the Start Menu
