Select all Files for Moving or Copying

SUMMARY: Select all files and subfolders in a folder and its subfolder for copying, moving, or other manipulation.


 

Need to copy or move all of the files in one folder to another folder? You can select all files by clicking in the folder, holding down the mouse button, creating a bounding rectangle that encompasses all icons, etc.

However, the easiest way to select all of the files and subfolders in a folder is by using a mouse or keyboard shortcut. Focus on the folder window, then:

1. Select "Edit" - "Select All"

2. Press CONTROL-A.
