Windows XP and Explorer - Add a Local Folder to Your Favorites

SUMMARY: Your Internet Explorer 6 Favorites can also link to folders on your Windows XP system.

Do you find it aggravating having to re-enter or re-find folders you commonly use in Windows XP Explorer? Wish there was a way you could remember your most-used, or favorite, folders?

Since Internet Explorer is integrated with Windows Explorer, you can save shortcuts to local hard drive folders in your Favorites just as you save bookmarks to web pages. Just open a folder then choose "Favorites" - "Add to Favorites". The familiar "Ad Favorite" dialog box will appear where you can rename the Favorite, place the Favorite in a Favorites organization folder, etc. And yes, the Favorite will be available from Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer.
