Visiting the Manufacturer's Website

SUMMARY: A shortcut method to access your printer manufacturer's website, plus a list of common printer manufacturer website URLs.

It's good to occasionally visit your printer manufacturer's website for driver update notices, usage tips, news on upcoming printers, etc. Windows XP makes visiting the website easy.

First, login to your Internet connection. Click the "Start" menu and choose "Printers and Faxes". When the "Printers and Faxes" window appears, click on your printer. In the window's left pane, a new box should appear labeled "See Also". If "Go to manufacturer's website" appears, click it to open a connection to the manufacturer's website with your default web browser.

If this link does not display, or clicking the link does not visit your printer manufacturer's website, here are the website addresses to some common printer manufacturers:

Brother - http://www.brother.com

Epson - http://www.epson.com

HP (Hewlett-Packard) - http://www.hp.com

IBM - http://www.ibm.com

Lexmark - http://www.lexmark.com

Okidata - http://www.okidata.com

Panasonic - http://www.panasonic.com

Toshiba - http://www.toshiba.com
