Windows XP and Printers - Print a Test Page

If you've recently installed a printer with Windows XP, or if you have recently cleaned a printer, you may find it useful to print a test page to make sure everything is ok. Are the connections secured? Is the printer driver working? Is the printer clean and output jobs free of smudges and blemishes?

1. Click "Start", then "Printers and Faxes".
2. When the "Printers and Faxes" window appears, right-click on a printer and choose "Properties".
3. When the "Properties" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the button "Print Test Page".

Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Windows XP and Printers - Print a Test Page
