Windows XP and Tweak UI - Fix Failing Font Installations

SUMMARY: If your Windows XP Fonts folder fails to work, Tweak UI may be able to repair it.

Normally, when you open the Windows XP "Fonts" Control Panel, you can drag and drop fonts into the folder to install them on your system. Or, you can click the "File" - "Install New Font" option to install fonts from any location on the local system or mapped drives. However, there may be times where this functionality fails to work. If your font folder fails to act like a normal font folder, you can repair its default functionality with Tweak UI.

First, download and run Tweak UI for Windows XP. Click the "Repair" link. To the left of the "Repair Now" button, click the pull-down and choose "Repair Font Folder". Click "Repair Now", then "OK" to close the dialog box. Your Windows XP fonts folder should now act correctly.
