SUMMARY: Stop beeping whenever something goes wrong in Windows XP.
Normally, when a system or application error occurs, Windows XP plays an error sound as it displays the error message. If you'd like to turn this sound off, do the following:
1. Download and run Tweak UI for Windows XP using the tips mentioned in MalekTips.
2. Click the "General" link.
3. In the right pane, uncheck "Beep on errors".
4. Click "OK".
Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Windows XP and Tweak UI - Don't Beep On an Error!
