Windows XP and Tweak UI
Change "View Source" Program in Internet Explorer
SUMMARY: View the source of web pages using a text editor other than Notepad with Tweak UI for Windows XP.
Normally, in Windows XP, when you view the source file of a webpage with Internet Explorer using the "View" - "Source" menu option, Notepad appears. However, if you have another favorite text editor, Tweak UI can configure Internet Explorer to open the webpage source in a different program.
1. Download and run Tweak UI for Windows XP.
2. Double-click "Internet Explorer" in the left pane to expand the tree.
3. Select "View Source" in the left pane.
4. In the right pane, click the "Change Program" button.
5. Navigate your computer and double-click the executable of the text editor you wish to use.
6. When done, click "OK" to close the dialog box.
Return to the Windows XP and Tweak UI page.
