Yahoo Mail - Built-In Notepad Tool

Need to jot a note down while sending and receiving e-mail with Yahoo! Mail? Instead of writing down a note and placing it somewhere it can get lost, Yahoo! Mail has a built-in Notepad tool.

(Note the following instructions were current as of 1/2/2006 - Yahoo! Mail's interface is subject to change.)

Click the "Notepad" tab.

* To add a note, click the "Add Note" button. Type in your note, then click "Save" to store it. The first line or so of the note will become the note's title which you can view from the main "Notepad" screen.

* To view or modify a note, click the note's title on the main "Notepad" screen. If you edit your note, be sure to click "Update" to save the changes.

* To delete a note, place a checkmark next to it on the main "Notepad" screen and press the "Delete" button.

* You can organize your notes into folders for easier access.

- To create a folder, click the "Add Folder" button. Give the folder a name and click "Add".

- To move a note into a folder, click on a note, choose the folder name from the "Folder" pull-down, and click "Update".

- To view the notes inside a folder, just click the folder name on the main "Notepad" screen.

Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Yahoo Mail - Built-In Notepad Tool
