| Search for Text in a Web Page's Title SUMMARY: Use Yahoo! Search's title searching feature to try to find web documents more closely matching your subject of interest. Having difficulty separating the wheat from the chaff when performing searches with Yahoo! Search? You may wish to try searching for web pages based solely on the web page's title.
Normally, when you perform searches with Yahoo! Search (and most other search engines), the search engine will try matching your search query with words located in web pages' titles, descriptions, body text, etc.
You may have better luck only searching through web page titles, the idea being that if your keyword matches the title of a web page, more than likely the web page's content represents your search query. Though this is definitely not always the case, experiment, and this type of searching may work for you.
To perform title-based searching with Yahoo! Search, perform a search in the following format:
intitle:QUERY
For example, the following query looks for web pages with references to Watergate and Deep Throat:
intitle:deep throat watergate
