This tip was printed from the MalekTips Computer and Technology Help and Tips website at http://malektips.com. ZoneAlarm Pro - Disable Email Recipient Number ProtectionSUMMARY: Keep ZoneAlarm Pro from alerting whenever large email-outs are sent.
Normally, ZoneAlarm Pro displays a warning whenever you send email with Outlook or Outlook Express that contains more than 50 recipients. This is done to help protect you from viruses and worms that may manage to strike your machine, using your Address Book to resend itself to hundreds if not thousands of people at once. Though this protection is useful, if you have a legitimate need to send e-mail to a mailing list of more than 50 people, you can disable this alert by doing the following: 1. Double-click the "ZA" icon on your taskbar. 2. Click "E-mail Protection" in the left pane of the "ZoneAlarm Pro" window that appears. 3. Click the "Main" tab. 4. Click the "Advanced" button. 5. When the "Advanced E-Mail Protection" dialog box appears, uncheck "If a message has too many recipients". 6. Click "OK". 7. Click the "X" at the top-right to close the ZoneAlarm Pro window. |
