Toggle Cookie Detection When Scanning for Spyware

SUMMARY: Decide whether or not cookies deemed as tracking cookies should be removed by ZoneAlarm's spyware protection feature.

When using ZoneAlarm Pro's automatic or manual spyware scanning, certain web browser tracking cookie files may be detected as spyware. You can toggle this behavior on or off depending on your needs as some detected cookies may have legitimate uses:

1. Double-click the "ZA" icon on the Windows Taskbar to bring up ZoneAlarm Pro.

2. When the "ZoneAlarm Pro" window appears, click "Anti-spyware".

3. Click the "Main" tab if it is not already selected.

4. Click the "Advanced Options" button.

5. The "Advanced Options" dialog box will appear. Underneath "Spyware Management" click "Detection".

6. Check or uncheck "Scan for tracking cookies" as desired.

7. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
