ZoneAlarm Standard And Pro

Attacked by Popups

SUMMARY: ZoneAlarm can keep websites offering dozens of popups from crowding your desktop.

This tip was written for ZoneAlarm version 6.5.731.000. Instructions may differ for your version.

Have you visited a website that attacked your desktop with popups? Then, when you close a popup, another appears, then another, then another?

Don't frantic. Don't yank out your Internet connection. Don't pull the plug. Just right-click on your "ZA" ZoneAlarm or ZoneAlarm Po icon and choose "Stop all Internet Activity".

The ZA icon should turn into a lock. Now, go close those popup windows. Each window might open one more window when closed, but if so, the following window will say "page cannot be found", and if you close that window, no other window will open to take its place.
